I agree the Hyundai is cool looking - but I’m just not sure they can get enough volume at a profitable price point.. They would have to charge less than the average compact SUV, right? Can they make enough money at $23,500 - $26,000? Maybe..

I think they are building it off the Tucson. In that way, the fact that the starting price would be between the Santa Fe Sport and Santa Fe three row already shows the profit margin being higher. They can also get away with having a very spartan interior and features base trim because “truck” and run the options up to $36,000 easily because “lifestyle vehicle.”
